It was a warm and colorful fall day. The sun was beginning to set, the sky turning magnificent colors of orange, red, and even pink. The leaves everywhere matched the sky, but some of the trees were bare, as winter was only an inch away. A large cloaked figure began to make his way through the forest, leaves crunching and snapping under his feet. The figure's head however, was not covered like the rest of him. His head was tan and he look menacing. His sharp green eyes pierced through the cloak of black, blanketing the autumn scene. A short and brisk breeze began to blow through, making the beads on his hair jingle a calming tune. He yawned lightly and softened his expression a little, half on accident, getting tireder every second.
His walk became a little more lazy, as if he was drunk. But he wasn't drunk, he didn't even have a drink of beer in days. He was acting all tipsy because of his craving for a high, steep building. He wanted to be able to glide in the air doing freestyle tricks without the discomfort of a bungee cord strangling his ankles. Most of all though, he wanted to go back to his village and tell stories to the children that cling-ed to him before nightfall. He sighed once again and continued on. "Why in the world did they tell me to take a vacation? It's not like I was doing anything too exhausting. Bah... they worry too much about me.." he said in a voice that didn't match his looks. His voice was soft, but gruff at the same time. There was even a tad bit of a rasp in it.
He began to find the opening to the strange peculiar village, where it was winter all year. He paused before entering and took time to observe the bits he could see. There were peculiar looking buildings.. skyscraper like with pavement roads, but mixed in with is there were older type buildings, made of wood and grass. He was expressionless for the longest time. He never imagined the place to be so.. wonderful and calm. He closed his eyes and felt the strange feeling of his bones chilling in the frost. He breathed in slowly and heavily, accidental inhaling a snowflake. He snorted lightly as more snowflakes began to mask his nose in white. He could smell charcoal and chocolate everywhere. Peculiar berries hung on the doors of homes and shops all around.
His time of thought was interrupted as he could feel something tug on his cloak. He looked down slowly. "HM?" There was a little boy wrapped in a large scarf too big for him, wearing a snow suit that made him look like a marshmallow. The boy blinked a few times and smiled shyly. Sky squatted down and smiled back. "Why hello there." he said softly. The little boy then cling-ed to Sky. Why are kids always clingy to me.. Sky thought to himself. Soon other kids around the same age as the snow boy circled around him giggling about. One a couple years older helped Sky up and the kids escorted him into the village. As they entered young maidens, wives, and husbands all alike were calling out names. Then they spotted Sky with their children all around them. The adults were afraid of Sky because of his appearance. And froze looking from Sky to the children giggling and running around him.
Sky sighed. And yet adult are always fearful of me... Sky thought sadly. Starting to feel uncomfortable at all the beings staring at him he spoke up and asked in a crisp voice with a musical ring to it, "I take it these belong to you?" starting to laugh as the kids began to cling to him as their parents came to retrieve them. After retrieving their children many of them began to converse with Sky. Learning where he came from, and he learned about the village. After awhile they pointed to the inn and bid him farewell and went to make their children go to bed. He walked around for a bit looking at the tall buildings and the stubby huts. Such a peculiar town it was but he liked it. He then began to make his way to the inn.
((Blah... I'm brain dead XD any-who, this is a village that is winter all year around. Have fun :B))
