Veiwing and Critics on others art.

Mmkay, I know that some people may not like others art but still, please respect them. It makes them feel great and it will make you feel good too.

Still no idea what I am trying to get across? Well let me give an example.

Person 1: I would like to show my art to see if its good or not. Please tell me what you think.

Person 2: That is the uglyiest thing I have ever seen. Get better because no one would buy your art!

Person 1: You dont have to be so mean about it. I really do try. sorry.

Person 2: Well sorry but it just is!

Person 3: Okay, look! You dont have to bve so mean person 2! She/he is trying there best and no one is perfect at art! Please if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all!

So now you get what I am saying. Good. So if you dont like it, dont comment unless its nice.

Well... autum, what you said is ok, but critique is basically saying whats "wrong" with the art. Now your right, you shouldn't say "That is the ugliest thing i have ever seen." But you don't want to say it is the best either.

Example:

Artist: Hello Please look at my dog drawing, tell me what you think, I would like some critique on what you think i could maybe do better.

Viewer: Hmm.. I think the front leg that is on the far side of the dog is a bit off, perhaps look at the anatomy of a dog in that position? Other than that it looks great.

Artist: Ok, Thanks, I'll try that.

See? That went very well, the viewer, said what was "wrong" with it without being mean, but still got to state their opinion. Things should run as smoothly as this, But remember, artists don't blow a gasket just because you worked really hard on something and someone said you need to work on a certain area a little more. Think of it as help, they are helping you to improve by encouraging you.
