Speed trials

[Sasha]

"Hello all, its a beautiful day in Alsaska, and here we are at the speed Trials. Here the mushers will put together a team of their fastest dogs, and then once the gunfire has sounded they will race off, each pulling a sled behind them. They will have to race 200 feet, first team there wins." Spoke the announcer over the megaphone.

Touketsu stood ready, holding the straps taunt and keeping her fellow team mates in order. Behind her was a husky/wolf like her named Frostbite. Behind him was a winged wolf named Dia, and still behind her was a female wolf named Hawk, whom was Frostbite's mate. Touketsu dug her paws into the ground, feeling it, the snow and ice wasn't slushy, but instead packed tightly, good for them to run on. "This is it guys..the snow is packed well, and so it will be easy running, but it will also mean we will have to run faster to get through the gorge before anyone else." She took a few deep breaths and looked at the competition as it pulled up. Most if not all we huskies, smaller than her, and more tightly compacted. Most teams had seven or eight dogs on them, but Touketsu knew their musher knew what he was doing. Then he pulled up, Mr. Bigshot. His name was terrance, and he thought he was all high an mighty because more than half of the female population swooned over him. She snorted. "Hey pretty wolfie, wanna come to my place." He spoke to her, trying to swoon her, to make her lose. "Hey Mr. Bigshot wanna stop trying to swoon me whn you know it won't work." She turned back to the land that lay in front of her, the gun would go of in 3...2...1... BANG! They were off. Touketsu pulled against the straps, jerking it slightly, she broke in the runners maneuvering right and left, then straight. She tore off, no one was gonna pass her and her team, all that could be heard was the snow getting pounded by paws and the sled.

Frostbite ran swiftly behind Touketsu, yipping and barking the whole time. Hawk ran in the rear quietly, her paws barely touching the snow. Her tongue lolled as she ran

[Sasha]

Touketsu saw Terrance's team out of the corner of her eye, the gorge was right there, not even 50 feet away. Terrance was going to ram them, Touketsu smirked and readied herself, tightening her muscles a bit. Terrance came right at her, and all she did was simply turn partially and bare her teeth while bristeling her mane. Terrances team stoped abruptly pulling him back as well, their musher cursed and Touketsu led her team through the gorge, but there was still another hundred feet of race to go.

Frostbite's muscles rippled as he ran. He barked to Touketsu to speed up or he was going to run into her. Frostbite was running, he couldnt control his speed. Hawk's paw began to bleed. She left bloody pawprints in the snow as she ran in a limping gait. She tumbled a bit but didnt hold up the team as she immediatly stood back up and ran.

[Sasha]

Touketsu smelled blood, and the musher saw it. Touketsu stopped the team abruptly to allow the musher to bandage Hawk's paw quickly. He did, and they were off again, thankfully they were far enough ahead that they wouldn't have to worry about someone passing them. "You alright back there Hawk?" Touketsu called, her own body trying to keep in sync with the others so as not to pull too hard.

Hawk barked a yes as she ran again. Frostbite glanced over his shoulder at her then back infront of him. He tried to slow himself down so he was running the same speed as Touketsu. Hawk's tongue lolled as she ran.

[Sasha]

Touketsu could see the home stretch, her heart leapt with joy, and her paws began to move faster. She pulled the lead taunt and barked telling everyone to hurry it up. All they had to do now was cross the ice, in which she told everyone to slow down once they passed the yellow flag. Once on the ice she told everyone to move at a slightly slower pace than she, that way if she fell in they could make a way around it and pull her out. She also told everyone to follow her footsteps, so as not to worry about thin ice.

FrostBite continued running his fastest even on the ice but collided into Touketsu. Hawk barked at him as she was running a bit slow as she was on the ice.

[Sasha]

Touketsu slid a bit, and snarled, jumping back as a loud crack was heard. She pulled Frostbite back by the scruff, preventing him from falling into the ice. She led them around it, and they reached packed snow again. She began to run faster, once they reached the end and finish line and were unhooked from their leads Touketsu leapt at Frostbite snarling. "Your foolish move almost cost the team both your and my life. I am the lead dog, you either listen to me or your off the team." She tried to pin him down, if he let her, she would put her mouth on his throat to remind him who was more dominant, who was boss. If he refused to submit, she would fight him, and pin him down by brute strength. She hoped Hawk knew not to interfere and that Touketsu would never kill a team member, but simply keep them in line and show who was boss.

Frostbite growled. He lept back up before she could pin him hard enough. He snarled and lept back at Touketsu.

Hawk watched from the sidelines making sure they didnt hurt each other. She dipped her head not planning on getting in on the fight.

[Sasha]

Touketsu snarled and lunged again, her large body mass appearing threatening and bulky. Thankfully she was all muscle, her wolven heritage had given her long legs and the abilitiy to run for long periods of time without bleeding pawpads, along with a body of pretty much all muscle, fur, and sheer need for dominance. "Your d**ned mistake almost cost our lives, had that been all thin ice the whole team would have gone down, and it would have been all your fault. HOW DARE YOU DISOBEY ORDERS! I will teach you a lesson you will not soon forget." She jumped away from him, in case he snapped at her, and then dove in again, snarling and bristeling.

[wolf]

Frostbite snarled again not saying a word he then opened his mouth. "Well if you had of given better orders instead of having an obsession to win then I wouldnt have!" He said in a low rumble and lept again at her with his hackled rose and teeth bared.

Hawk stood up nervously. She took a step forward and paused scared they might hurt each other.

[Sasha]

Touketsu kept her head over her neck to prevent him from biting her there. "The whole point of the speed trials is to win!! If not then you are not to be used, and in my case will be thrown away like some old rag doll, as you all may have been also. The speed trials mean you are either the fastest and most balanced team, or you are just another team." She threw her body weight against his, and ended up pinning him down, belly up. She put her own mouth over his throat, gripping gently, just enough to make him gasp a little, her hot breath so close to his neck it almost burned. She held her tail up, to show she was more dominant, if he tried to move, his throat would be torn wide because of the position of her fangs.

Frostbite used what was left of his breath to snarl. He gagged a bit.
Hawk walked over. She growled less to fight more to try and make Touketsu get off Frostbite.

[Sasha]

Touketsu snarled her voice rumbled into Frostbite's throat making it vibrate slightly. She rose her tail higher, telling Hawk not to mess with her, or she too would be forced into submission. She waited for a whine from wolf, saying he submitted and she was more dominant, if not then she would growl again and her teeth would sink deeper into his throat, forcing him to whine in submission.
