Duck Hunting

Chip stood in his duck blind,ready for early morning traffic.The wind was blowing perfectly,from the north.The wind was very icy and sharp,this he hoped,would flush out the ducks.At last,a flock of 10 mallards flew by. there were 6 hens, and 4 drakes.He started blowing into the call, "quiit,quiit" in a secondary call.They ignored him.Then,he did his urgency call.The ducks turned around.He then did a feeding call,rapidly going "tikatikatikatikatikatikatika" into his duck call it worked.
He picked up his shotgun,a semi automatic 10 gauge.He aimed as the ducks came in closer.100 yards,50 yards,40,30,20,10.He shot at a mallard drake and hit.He shot at another one and missed.He had one last shot.He shot again and hit.After that he yelled,"Back!"at ginger.
Ginger couldnt believ it!She got to fetch something today!Ginger jumped out and retrived one of the ducks.Then, she got the second duck.

Touketsu heard the shots, and she knew where there was shots there was prey. She was still a domesticated dog, but had no master, so some of her wolven heritage came into play. In a flash one of the lower-flying ducks, a hen was in the blue and white husky-wolf's mouth. She looked at the dog named Ginger, not wanting to be a threat or cause a fight she began to walk back into the dense overbrush, where she would run, until she felt it was safe to eat. Something held her back though, it was the sent of a human, her ears pricked, and she looked around, her tail curled ove her back, and her body tense.

Chip thought he heard something,he remained silent.

Ginger got off and started to invesigate."Hello?"She called,"Anyone there?"

[Sasha]

Touketsu, noticed she had been spotted, or at least heard, but kept silent, at least until she stepped upon a twig,in which caused her to growl in frustration. She stepped out of the first layer of brush, dropping her own kill at her feet. "I am Touketsu, a wolf/husky mix, who are you?" She nodded to the dog called Ginger, her large body towering over the smaller labrador. Her fur was not bristled though, so she at the moment was of no threat, but she was now in the human's range of sight.

"I am ginger,a german breed called a labrador retriver.Im duck hunting with my owner."Ginger said while sniffing Touketsu."I smell you have been huting.Oh,yeah! Don't worry about my owner,Chip.He's too focused on the ducks.I've never met a wolf/husky mix,or a wolf/anything mix for that matter."Ginger sat listening for something."I hear ducks! Gotta go.I'll come back later."
Ginger watched the ducks.Then,Chip shot and yelled,"Ginger back."Ginger swam after the duck,caught it, andbrought it back to Chip.
After Ginger caught the duck,she went to see if touketsu was still around.

Touketsu stayed around, watching the labrador, she fetched ducks for her master...did she ever get to eat any? Touketsu looked at Chip, thinking about trying to walk up to him. No, she couldn't he was a hunter, he would shoot at her for sure. She simply sat and waited for Ginger to return, keeping a wary eye upon this "chip" human.

"You're thinking about my owner arent you."Ginger said."Dont worry,he would never hurt a dog.And besides,Wolves are a protected species so he couldnt any way.So he wouldnt want to hurt you and he cant.He's really nice.I usually get duck scraps."Ginger sat and stared a Touketsu thinking really hard.

[Sasha]

Touketsu pricked her ears, turning her head quickly away from the human, and back to the labrador. "Oh yeah, thats right... wolves are a protected species." She sighed, looking at the duck she had killed, she could easily kill something without using her teeth, her large body and heavy mass were enough to crush the juggular of an animal, and her strong muscles gave her the advantage of speed and high jumps. She smiled, thinking about it.

"Your the biggests dog I've ever seen."Ginger said."Probably not the strongest though.I know a dog thats as strong as a horse,but smarter.I don't know for sure because I havn't seen how strong you are. You look like you could be up to twice as strong.But then again,Size isnt everything.Shotguns are small and they can kill a bear."

[Sasha]

Touketsu smiled, and nodded. "When your in harsh conditions, your body will do amazing things, me, my body is all muscle. I can take down a deer without a pack, I can take down a moose or a bear with another dog. My name means frozen, which is ironic because I hate the cold, and I am usually very sweet-hearted. Anyways, yes your right, size doesn't say everything, but pigs will fly when a pomeranian can take down a caribou by itself." She grinned, then looked at ginger again. "Whom is this dog you speak of? perhaps a guard dog?" She sat upon her haunches, her body still towered over the labador, but not quite as much. Her ears were pricked slightly, and she almost wanted to ask to meet her human, but then again even if the human was not allowed to kill her, or even shoot her, he may shoo her away.

"Nope,not a guard dog."Ginger said."My daughter raven.She seems small but,strangly,she has twice as much muscle as it looks like.She doesnt go duck hunting though.Its only because she isnt trained to duck hunt."Ginger shook the water off of her fur and stood up.Even while standing,she was shorter than toukestsu sitting."Why dont you like the cold?Both wolves and huskies are mad to livw in the cold weather."

[Sasha]

Touketsu pulled her ears back a bit, and turned away slightly at Ginger's question, a painful memory comeing back to her. "The cold swallowed my mother before i was even six months old... It took her away from me, my siblings, and my father. My father died soon after because he refused to leave my mother's side, and my siblings... well i don't know what of them, all i know is my mom got them to a safe shelter, but if they survived i do not know." She looked back at Ginger "That is why I do not like the cold, i can survive in it, but i do not like it."

"Sorry,I didnt know the question would hurt you."Ginger said."I gotta get back to duck hunting.I'll talk to you later.If you wanna come meet my owner,you can.And if you do not wanna meet my owner than good-bye for now."

[Sasha]

Touketsu nodded, then decided against running away. She looked at her kill, and kicked it away, for some smaller animal to eat, then walked boldy up to this "Chip" guy. She tried to look a bit like she was just doing tis out of random curiosity, of course that wasn't the case, but she like a dog sniffed blindly, following any trail that seemed stronger, most of which led her in circles. Her mouth salivated slightly as she heard the ducks quacking, but she kept herself from attacking them, and kept going to the human.

"You'll like Chip.He is so nice.I'll love him until the day I die.He brings me duck hunting every Fall."Ginger said."Oh,yeah!He brags about me to all his hunter friends over the internet.I go hunting with some of his other hunting friends.And he carves his own duck decoys."
