[Private for my char and Sahsa's only!]
The black mudi had finally escaped from that awful home. She removed her collar at last and she was completely free to roam around. So, she did. She didn't travel slowly until after a while. Her escape didn't seem to brighten her much because she was still lost, but either way, she was free. So with a heavy heart, she moved on.
It took her forever, but suddenly, the hair on Motyo's fur prickled with anticipation. Her broken heart skipped a beat as the warm smells of cattle overwhelmed her scent glads. She still felt cold sadness but a ranch was nearby, and that's what mattered to the black dog most.
Running toward the smells, she finally came to a halt. She was a bit disappointed to notice it was not her home, but there was CATTLE. Lots and lots of cattle! And there were even people on horse back, herding them. Wagging her tail, she saw one escape. So, she plunged down the side of the hill and surprised the cattle with a sharp bark. She stayed low and stood facing the bull. It reared, and she pulled back just enough to keep out of it's way. And in the same instance, she charged for it's head and bit it's nose. The bull bellowed in pain and started backing up toward the group until it bumped into another bull.
Motyo actually felt a bit pleased with herself for a moment, until the guy on the horse pointed a gun at her. James had the same type of gun he used on the coyotes he shot that threatened her when she was pregnant. She froze, watching the man with sadness growing back into her eyes. Why oh why did she have to be stolen? Why did this man have to use a gun on her? Would her life end here? The man still hadn't shot her, but she kind of wished he'd just get it over with. What was there here that could possibly please her?

Crack. The sound of twigs breaking under heavy paws. Whoosh, the sound of wind rustling through pale blue fur. A quick twist of the large but lithe canine body and she was through the small flock of trees. She could smell the fear of the man.. of the cattle, of the dog. Her ears lay flat on her head, what had happened? Her long legs and large paws carried her swiftly over the ground, and in moments she was within sight of the problem. A black dog, had attacked a bull, or maybe the bull had attacked first, she didn't much care though. She stopped for a minute and followed to where a man on a horse had his gun pointed to the dog. She growled low and looped around to the horse's flank, her body running low.
She kept her feet pounding the ground quiet and ran to the horse's side, giving a mighty leap and knocking the man off his horse. He may have accidentally pulled the trigger, but the shot when up and over the dog. Touketsu stood with her hulking body over the man, teeth bared, hackles raised and ears back. The horse was in shambles, panicking and unsure what to do.
Touketsu moved off the man and towards the dog, when he moved she growled warning and he stayed. When she reached the other dog, she growled softly in frustration and made the attempt to grab her scruff. If the dog allowed it, she would drag her a while until they were safe, if not, then she would snort and shrug walking away, leaving the dog to follow her or to go it's own way.

The black dog was about ready to meet the Devil when a growl came followed by a shot of a gun. She squinted her eyes and flinched as the bullet scrapped her fur. She stood, paralyzed until she felt teeth dig into her scruff and start dragging her. She struggled a bit, but stayed still and allowed the huge canine to drag her. Although, it wasn't really wasn't dragging, as the mudi was small enough that only her back paws dragged on the earth.
After a little while, Motyo was set down on the ground. She fell in a heap, and for about a minute, didn't pick herself up. Then, she opened her eyes at last and stood up slowly. Thank you, she said gratefully. My name is Motyo. I don't come from around here. Matter of fact, my home is no were near here. I used to live on a ranch, and so when I saw a cattle getting away, I thought I'd help the man...but he just pointed his gu- Motyo stopped. She felt home sickness entrap her heart and stomach. [/b]-n at me. Same gun as James...and the last gun before I was stolen for dog fights...[/b] she finished and let her voice to trail. She shook her head to clear her thoughts, but no luck. Where do you come from?

Touketsu put Moyto down and didn't bother to try to force her to pick herself up. Instead, she sat down and when the dog stirred, she gave a soft tail wag and listened to her story.
"Me? Well.. I come from the snowy terrain, but I ended up with a human.. and then I'm not really sure, I tend to wander off. I heard the bull, and the smell of fear was just.. so strong I had to come see what it was."
She shifted uneasily, glancing back to make sure they hadn't been followed.
"By the way, you said you were trying to help the man? Don't you know better than to go herding another dog's flock?"
She sighed, drooping her ears before rising to her feet. "Come on, we gotta find a place to get you cleaned up and probably feed you." She started to walk away, towards the trees, "by the way, my names Toukestu." she said over her shoulder, she did not stop to look and see if the dog was following though, she figured she would, if not for the thought of food or company, simply for protection. Few things messed with a dog her size.

Motyo nodded. I had no fear. I could of died right there and I'd be fine...I started with humans and then I was a stray for over a year. Ten I found the ranch dogs on the beach one day, and I couldn't help but to go find the ranch. Oh, why...The mudi's voice trailed as it was cut off with a chocking that made her throat close up. It was unbearable, so when she asked her about the flock, she was a bit confused. But she just nodded and got up to go, followed.
Taking a deep breath, she caught up to Touketsu and began again. I had a life on the ranch. I had James and Kira, my owners. I had Jay and Lalita, my friends. I had Takoda, my best friend and my love. And I had eight pups, all my friends and all my little angels. I had the pups out one day when Takoda and Jay were all out and James and Kira were out as well. A man came in a black truck, and though I tried to fight him off, it wasn't enough. The men put me in a net and through in the back of the truck. All the time, I was howling at my terrified pups to go to the barn and hide, and finally, they did. I soon escaped the truck, but many miles out. I got lost, almost died, and then came here, pretty much. I miss them so much. I just wish that I stayed, you know? Or those men could of killed me instead, you know? But I am alive so I am fine for now.

Touketsu nodded at the dog's story, she was used to sorrowful stories, and this one was no different. She needed to find a haven, sadly Touketsu was never really sure where to find a haven. She stepped lightly, though her body weighed as much as it did, and tried to keep her pace slow so the Mudi could keep up.
"Well, I doubt you'll be able to get back there, but you may find a haven here. I don't particularly know much about places like that, but that's probably because my wolf heritage says I can be happy anywhere." she chuckled, making a sort of joke of herself. "Anyways, we should be coming up on a river soon, we'll have to cross it. It doesn't move too fast, but it is not slow either, how's your swimming?"

Motyo watched as Touketsu nodded at her finished story. Then, she noticed Touketsu trying to stay slow, and couldn't help but to say, I may be small but I am still quite capable of keeping up with large dogs. I lived on a ranch with two larger dogs and a large group of cattle. And either pups. Trust me, move at your own pace-I can keep up.
So with that, Motyo went ahead a little to show she was fine and stopped to wait. Then moved on again. Suddenly she heard her talk again, and coked her head slightly. A haven? Well, so long as that haven has something worth fighting for...And you're right... Main chocked Motyo's throat again to the point she had she swallow forcefully to open it again. Then, fighting off pain, she said again, You're right, that I will probably never find home. Home was worth fighting for though, and I just wish I could know everything is alright... Then she stopped as they neared the river Touketsu had talked about, shook herself, and nodded, I'll be fine. I still do have something worth fighting for, it's just not here. And with that, she plunged into the river ahead of Touketsu, and began to swim strongly to the other end.

The dog's willingness to forge ahead make Touk feel a bit better about her. When she got ahead of her however, her leading instincts took over and she charged ahead until she was ahead of her in the river. She moved her legs in the water beautifully, each movement like a dance and her fluffy, dense fur keeping her from the bite of the cold.
When she had reached the other side, she shook off and began walking again, at her normal, way too fast for comfort pace. She was trying to remember the areas around where the humans put out food for their dogs. She could easily bully another dog into sharing, though she never really had to bully, her sheer size was usually enough.

When the black dog was almost to the shore, she noticed that Touketsu was already swimming ahead. Pushing stronger so she was barely behind, she climbed out of the water, shook her black fur, and caught up with Touketsu easily. Moving as she had done so many times before at the ranch next to the big dog wolf hybrid, she looked up, wondering were she was leading her but said nothing.
Soon, Motyo was getting an uneasy feeling drown in her gut as they continued on. Looking to her side again, up at the furry an wet dog, she opened her mouth to ask her something. Were exactly are we going? she finally asked. She looked about and every tree and every scent seemed weird to her yet familiar. But she just shrugged, and waited for Touketsu to answer her.
