Touketsu jumped a bit, for Ginger had startled her. She looked at her, "I couldn't sleep, so I came here, it calms my nerves, and gives me a calm overview. I'm sorry for worrying you. She smiled, looking back out at the horizon, sighing and feeling calmly comfortable.

"Its ok.I just thought you may have ran away."Ginger looked at the houses."Thats a beautiful sight.No wonder you came here.Sorry to startle you."Ginger then looked up into the stars."I guess there are two beautiful sites in one place.Here,have some bear meat."Ginger gave touketsu some of the bear meat she had been carrying.

[Sasha]

Touketsu took a small portion of the meat, then nodded. "Yeah, there are several sights that happen right here, like in the smummer, that tree, the one we're sitting uder suddenly bursts out with monarchs... and their wings glisten beautifully in the sun."

"Wow.Ihad no clue.This is the farthest I have ever been away form home without chip."Ginger said."Chip has broughtme so much comfort.He will be my master,and my owner until the day I die."Ginger thought about her first duck hunt.

[Sasha]

Touketsu smiled, but decided not to tell her the tragic tales of how she lost her first masters. She stood, slowly rising to her feet. "We should head back now... its almost dawn, and its not safe out here at dawn." She pricked her ears foreward and nudged Ginger's side wth her muzzle, urging her to move faster, to run home, for now there were dangers far worse than a simple shotgun.

Ginger ran fast,but she was not as fast as touketsu."Help,Im not as fast as you."She started running faster and faster.She wondered what this danger was."I hope Im fast enough."She thought about i she would be killed.She ran even faster in fear.

[Sasha]

Touketsu heard Ginger's plea, and turned around. She grabbed her by the scruff and although she could not pick her up she could push her to run faster. She spoke through a mouthful of Ginger's scuff. "The danger is the foxes, bears, and wolves come out hunting at this time." She guided Ginger through the forest, preventing her from running into things and such.

"Oh,wolves.They aren't too dangerous.Some of my best friends are wolves."Ginger kept running."I am so scared and so tired.I cant keep up even with you dragging me."But instead of slowing down she sped up to almost as fast as Touketsu.

[Sasha]

Touketsu became slightly annoyed by Ginger's pace, She let go of the labrador, and ran behind her, getting lower and lower to the ground, then sheraced under the smaller dog, getting her on her back. "Sorry, life or death situations call for drastic measures." She bounded off towards the house. "These wolves are rabid, and will stop at nothing until you are out of their territory."

"Uh,Oh!"Ginger jumped off and tripled her speed with much determination to make it home in time."I...must...see...Chip...again!"She ran faster and faster until she was in pace with Touketsu."Im not going to die without seeing Chip again."Ginger was so tired now but she was not slowing down."Two dogs running 40mph.How wierd."She thought.

[Sasha]

Touketsu pricked her ears, and said "Here they come" She nudged Ginger to the left. "We're taking a shortcut k?" she bounded to a cliff, and turned left again, up ahead there was a log bridge, and she intended to pass over it. She raced across it, but turned around to see if Ginger had crossed it so easily.

Ginger made it halfwway across and a wolf jumped out in front of her,she tried to turn around,and ther were another 3. She had to go ahead,there was only one."Touketsu!"Ginger barked.Get the one on your side"Ginger attacked it with fury,hoping that the other 3 didnt make it to he in time."HHHHHHHEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!!!"

[Sasha]

Touketsu snarled and charged in, using her brute mass to throw it off the log brigde. She leapt over Ginger, standing inbetween her and the other three wolves. "Ginger, go.. I'll catch up, you run slower, so just GO!." One of the wolves tried to jump over her to get at Ginger, but Touketsu knocked it off course, and sent it spiraling down to the river below.

Ginger thoght about staying.She would help if there was a problem.She got ready for a fight.She would protect her friend at all costs."Im not leaving without you.Your my friend."Ginger jumped over touketsu and knocked a wolf in the water.She then jumped back and waited.Hoping one wouldnt be too much."We've got brains on our side."

[Sasha]

Touketsu rolled her eyes but gasped slightly as Ginger stopped a wolf's attack. "No!! You go NOW!!! I can deal with one, there won't be too many more, this bridge marks the end of their territory." Touketsu snarled at the last wolf, and charged it. It charged right back, and they hit each other falling slightly to the left, the wolf fell down, but so did she. "Go home Ginger, get Chip!" She yelled while falling. She wasn't sure if Ginger knew she could survive the fall but she knew she could, and so that would be. She fell fast, and landed in the river getting carried slightly down stream. She dove under the current and swam to one side. She crawled ashore, weak and tired, but alive... for now.
